Fairy Tales and Märchen

Every culture has fairy tales which are closely tied to their identity.  But: fairy tales, or Märchen, are the domain of both the Imagination and the Subconscious Mind.  They belong to all of us.

The Grimm Brothers have indelibly marked Germany as a Land of Märchen.  So much so that Herr Graff was quite perturbed that Puss-n-Boots was decidedly Spanish in heritage and not called "Der gestiefelte Kater".  But that is a mere aside.
